There is a wide variety of dining table options to choose from and to help you decide which option is best for you, we have identified below some of the different features/options available:
Table Tops
Spearhead recommend you always specify a High Pressure Laminate (HPL) top for your dining tables.
Unlike the cheaper wood veneer tops, the HPL tops are able to sustain hot mugs and food/drink spillages without marking the surface.
All Dining Tables & Coffee Tables from Spearhead come with a HPL top as standard.
Dimensions
Our table tops come circular or square between 700 and 1200mm in size, or rectangular between 1200 and 1800mm long by 750mm wide.
For a table to seat 4, we would recommend a minimum of 900mm square or round.
Leg Options
Spearhead offers four different leg options for our four-legged tables as follows:
Square – standard square leg design which is most cost effective option.
Tapered – introduced a more contemporary style.
Turned – carved/turned style of leg for more traditional settings.
Chunky – square but chunky style ideal for challenging behaviour environments.
Wheelchair Cut-outs
If you have a large number of residents who eat at the table in their wheelchair, and you prefer the four-legged table rather than the pedestal option, then we do offer the choice of wheelchair cut-outs under the table top.
Table Bases
Choose from either a four-legged option (most popular), pedestal base or skittle leg base. The skittle leg option is effectively a more elegant version of the pedestal base. A pedestal base/skittle leg style is good for wheelchair access, but something not seen to be as stable as a four-legged table.
